Sorry to inform you, but Boston Swing Central is suspending the dance until further notice. Please be safe, stay healthy and keep dancing at home, do some solo jazz or learn the shim sham. You can find some great videos on YouTube. Take care and we hope to be back dancing sometime soon.

Lionel Hampton, Benny Goodman, Charlie Christian, and Peggy Lee – This sounds like a Grand Slam! Join us for the debut of a new band put together by Justin Meyer. We’ll have a Boston Swing Central first: a vibraphone player!

Yes, this band will have Rich Greenblatt on vibes as well as big band stalwart Steve Taddeo bringing his best Gene Krupa beats. Also Billy Novick on clarinet, Eric Baldwin on guitar, Sarah Gardner on vocals and the very talented band leader, Justin Meyer on bass.

What is BSC?

Boston Swing Central is a dancer-formed, non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to promoting positive and fun swing dancing experiences in Boston.

We have two primary objectives. First, to provide a weekly Friday night dance that caters to the desires of dancers of all levels. This means a dance that is centrally located, on public transportation, and reasonably priced.

Second, to champion the diverse voices within our community by remaining open and neutral with regards to information and promotion of other swing dancing events in the greater Boston area and by striving to feature a wide variety of teachers, bands, and DJs.
