Jake Sanders Quintet (from Chicago/New York)

Category: dances
Jake Sanders is a guitar player from Chicago, who used to live in New York.  While in New York he founded a now legendary band called the Cangelosi Cards who played many swing dances and dance camps (like Swing Out New Hampshire) before disbanding.  Jake moved West to be closer to his home in Wisconsin, and ended up playing with

Chicago’s Fat Babies.  He’s since pursued a solo music career and is also a sideman in Naomi and the Handsome Devils. His current trip out East brings him to Boston Swing Central.  Along for the ride are some of New York’s finest: Dalton Ridenhour on piano, Dennis Lichtman on Clarinet, Sean Cronin on bass, and joining them from Boston is Phil McGowan on drums. This is going to be a real holiday treat for us!

Also tonight – The Riff Academy dancers are performing a brand new holiday routine! Don’t miss it!
We don’t have a video of this particular group of players, but check out this clip which features the band leader, Jake.
