Join us for live music with JonnyG and the Dynamites as they make their BSC debut!

JohnnyG & The Dynamites is a high energy band full of an all star cast of musicians and entertainers. The band has inspiration deeply rooted in jazz, swing, and soul music that’ll get any event up and going to dance the night away. The band is led by John Lindsay, who is a saxophonist, producer, and arranger that has studied music in several different settings, including graduating from Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship in 2024, where he studied Music Production and Audio Engineering. On top of audio engineering work, he plays sax professionally all around New England at many types of events, including dances, weddings, DJ + sax hybrids for clubs, and even stadium shows for the major league rugby team of New England, where he has opened for the bands Crash Test Dummies, Orleans, and Cracker! The Kira Daglio Fine Big Band (formerly the Young Lions Jazz Orchestra) is a 16-piece jazz ensemble composed of some of the best young emerging artists in the area. Currently pursuing a Masters degree at the New England Conservatory, Kira established the group as a means to develop her unique musical voice. Her award-winning compositions draw heavily from the swing tradition and her Latina heritage, as well as a wide selection of influences— from Ellington to D’Angelo to Jorge Drexler and beyond. Captained by their ambitious leader, The KDF Big Band is certainly a group to watch out for; this diverse collective of up-and-coming musicians offers a fresh and exciting approach to the big band format.

This event is part of a fundraising, in advance of Gordon finishing the recording an album in Brooklyn, New York that he recorded some of the basic tracks last fall. We still need to mix a bunch of them. This is a large project, with many people involved, expenses will be high. If you are interested in the album, please consider pre-ordering or donating now to support this project. If you’ve supported Gordon in the past, he sends his thanks, and is still releasing tracks from the “Single of the Month” club. -Throughout the winter, please try to bring a clean pair of shoes to the dance, as salt and sand from outside can damage the dance floors in the spaces we’re renting.Thank you in advance!

-When parking, we recommend allowing extra time, as nearby parking has been reduced due to the gym lot being closed.There is plenty of parking down near the Apple Cinemas, however please do not park in the Denehy parking lot or along the Q Ballroom building where it says “Enterprise” or “Fire Dept”.
