Cait and the Critters blends western swing, folk and blues with the American Song Book for a tasty take on traditional jazz. Band leader, Cait, is a swing dancer, tenor guitar player and singer. Born from the trad jazz scene in New York City, Cait is inspired by how dancing and music lift each other. Cait pulls from country, jazz, and gospel singers for a sound that is at times sultry and soft, explosive and full. The Critters are a shifting cast of talented collaborators and wielders of fine instruments who build out the band in grand dance worthy accompaniment.

Lesson (included w/ price of admission): 8:00pm – 9:00pm
Dancing: 9:00pm – 12:00am
General Admission: $16
Students and Seniors (with Valid ID): $13

What is BSC?

Boston Swing Central is a dancer-formed, non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to promoting positive and fun swing dancing experiences in Boston.

We have two primary objectives. First, to provide a weekly Friday night dance that caters to the desires of dancers of all levels. This means a dance that is centrally located, on public transportation, and reasonably priced.

Second, to champion the diverse voices within our community by remaining open and neutral with regards to information and promotion of other swing dancing events in the greater Boston area and by striving to feature a wide variety of teachers, bands, and DJs.
